Linking via satellite from their classrooms, students share their culture, customs, curriculums, and concerns with their new friends in other countries, in real time with satellite technology. Learning and friendship begins, then flourishes, through continued communication and project collaboration on our website. They discover how to impact their world by aligning values, goals, and dreams with each other. Ultimately, we are laying a foundation for future global leadership.
Currently in the works is our film documentary:
"The Power to Connect Through Music & Celebration"
The language of music is the common currency bringing together students from Rio de Janeiro and New Orleans. These are the special ones who embody a legendary lineage of musical heritage, cultural tradition, and community pride. They reveal compelling stories of life's gritty raw materials, transformed into unique group and self-expression. Firmly rooted in two culturally distinctive communities, they're about to branch out on a virtual voyage beyond borders. We see them engaging each other via satellite link-up, displaying musical talents, school projects, and celebrating local culture. The film climaxes with a first ever live, trans-national, cross-cultural jam session! And then, will we actually see them meet, face to face?
