Terry Braverman
(Creator / Project Director)
Terry Braverman is a multi-talented producer, performer, artist, inspirational author, and educational keynote speaker on leadership, motivation and humor. He was a television and radio media personality in L.A., producing and hosting his own show called The Cutting Edge, for five years. On the show, Terry interviewed exceptional people who have truly enhanced the cultural landscape, including "Chicken Soup for the Soul" author Jack Canfield, best-selling authors Marianne Williamson, Louise Hay, Susan Jeffers, and former Olympic gold medalist Dan Millman, author of "Way of the Peaceful Warrior," now a feature length film.
As a comic/impressionist, he was the winner of the 1992 "Open Audition"
on Comedy Central (out of 300 acts), opened for Broadway/T.V. star Ben Vereen,
performed at The Improv Comedy Club, and guest starred on a show hosted by fellow
comic/actor Denis Leary. He was also in the 1986 T.V. miniseries Space, which
featured James Garner. He has performed and lectured for kids from elementary
to high school levels.
Terry started producing and facilitating seminars in 1988 that demonstrated how to improve morale, build teamwork, inspire new leadership, cultivate creative thinking, defuse conflict, and bolster productivity in one's personal and professional life. His seminar and speaking business grew dramatically, and he was hired to present programs at Fortune 500 companies such as Xerox Corporation, Northrop-Grumman Corporation, Baxter Healthcare Corporation, Fluor Corporation, Mosby-Year Book, Inc. (division of Times-Mirror), Air Canada, and Bates Advertising USA. In the education field, he was a keynote speaker for the 1998 California Teachers Assn. annual conference, and the 2004 Ohio Education Assn. annual leadership conference. His keynote topic is based on his uplifting book, When the Going Gets Tough, the Tough Lighten Up! now in its third edition. The book was a best seller on amazon.com for three consecutive years, from 1997-99.
As a result of the book's success, Terry had the opportunity to sharpen his
interviewee skills on AP Radio Network, CBS Radio Network, and USA Radio Network;
on TV, Good Day L.A., The Morning Show on New Orleans' CBS affiliate, and ABC
affiliate's Morning Show in Asheville, NC; in print, he was interviewed by the
New York Times and Inc. Magazine, mentioned in a U.S. News & World Report
article, and featured in the L.A. Times, Oakland Tribune, and New Orleans Times-Picayune.
All of his previous professional experience has led him to a project that he feels will make a big difference in the world. Terry is the creator/producer and project director of Planetary Kidz currently in development as a global television show for kids. Planetary Kidz will connect children via live satellite-linked video from a classroom and/or exterior locations in a foreign country to a location in America, to share their customs, culture, and concerns with each other.
